Our piggy paradise is the ideal haven for your guinea pig whilst you are away for either business or pleasure. With spacious, quiet, climate-controlled rooms, you can feel confident your guinea pig is being cared for in a secure, relaxing environment.

Daily Enrichment

All guinea pig guests are provided with at least 2 hours of daily supervised playtime in an outdoor hutch, so they can feast on the fresh grass and enjoy the sunshine, which is essential for their health. During their stay, our guests will receive one-on-one attention and lots of loving cuddles to help make them feel right at home.

Grassy Hay, Fresh Grass, Fruit and Vegetables

All guinea pigs are provided with unlimited grassy hay, premium pellets, fresh grass, fruit, vegetables and water on a daily basis. We use only the highest quality guinea pig food for your loved one, including the Oxbow Hay range, Oxbow pellets, Vetafarm pellets and Oxbow baked treats. We recommend bringing along your guinea pig’s pellets and any favourite treats if different from what we provide, as their complex digestive systems can be very sensitive to change. If you are unable to supply your piggies normal diet, we will try to replicate their diet as best we can, at no extra cost.

Fresh fruit and vegetables are purchased weekly at our local markets to ensure our guests receive only the best. These include;

Asian Greens, Silverbeet, Kale, Endive, Mixed Lettuce, Beetroot Leaves, Broccolini, Fennel, Parsley, Coriander, Dill, Basil, Baby Carrot and Carrot Tops, Beans, Cucumber, Capsicum, Zucchini, Celery, Sweet Potato, Pumpkin, Corn and Corn Husks, Tomato, Apple, Pear, Watermelon, Rockmelon, Honeydew, Berries and Grapes.

Immaculate Enclosures Cleaned Daily

Guinea pigs are housed primarily indoors in a secure, quiet, climate-controlled room. Owners are welcome to either bring along their guinea pig’s enclosure or utilise one of our complementary spacious on-site enclosures. Our enclosures come fully furnished with soft bedding, hidey huts, hay feeders and, food and water bowls. If using our enclosures, we encourage owners to bring along any of their guinea pig’s creature comforts to ensure their home away from home is as comfortable as possible.

All enclosures are cleaned daily with F10 disinfectant and our guests are provided with fresh food and water twice daily. Our guests never have to battle the seasonal elements as they are kept cool in Summer and warm in Winter using a variety of heating and cooling methods.

Medical Treatments and Intensive Care

The team at Noah’s Ark are specialist trained and more than happy to cater for guinea pigs requiring medical treatments at an additional cost. Intensive care services include assisted feeding, oral medications, injectable medications, daily weight charts and monitoring. A current history is required if your guinea pig has any pre-existing health problems, however this can be organised with your veterinarian prior to boarding.

Peace of Mind, Health Checks

A health examination by a guinea pig savvy veterinarian is an important part of keeping your guinea pig healthy and happy. One of the most common problems in guinea pigs is dental disease and a health check every 12 months will help to ensure that any dental problems are detected early. Other health concerns include dietary deficiencies, skin conditions, parasitic infections and respiratory issues.

The health and safety of our guests is of primary importance to us, which is why we recommend that all guinea pigs receive an annual health check. We recommend a guinea pig specialist, however any registered veterinarian competent in guinea pig care will suffice.
